• Biography

Carlo Manieri also known as il Maestro della Floridiana (documented in Rome from 1662 to 1700)

The artist, about whom there is little information, may originally have been from Taranto, working in Rome between 1662 and 1700. He was a central figure for still-life representations in the second half of the seventeenth century.

Following recent studies, a catalog of the artist called "The Floridian Master" has been added to his name.
