Mostly through photographs and videos, Francesco Jodice (Naples, 1967) began his research focusing on the relationship between urban landscapes and communities with the project What We Want, 1996-2004, and then moved towards a more in-depth analysis of the phenomenon of megacities in the Citytellers project and in the trilogy of videos related to this and dedicated to São Paulo, the Aral Sea area and Dubai, 2006-2010. As a lecturer as well as an artist, Jodice focuses on geopolitical issues since 2008 bringing his attention in recent times to the West and its possible future scenarios, promoting more and more models of audience engagement, also through new technologies.
